Bali is typically at the top of the wish list for couples desiring a tropical honeymoon vacation, but there are also a variety of resorts that offer unique wedding packages for brides and grooms looking for a worldly nuptial experience on one of the most romantic islands in the world. Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali overlooks the Indian Ocean and features exquisite villas, a luxury spa, restaurants, and bars. Couples desiring an intimate wedding with a traditional experience will enjoy planning a ceremony at The White Dove Chapel, which is adorned with more than 300 white doves – each representing peace and love.
The Traditional Balinese Wedding Package takes place in the iconic chapel and seats 20 guests. Prior to the blessing ceremony, wedding guests will receive welcome drinks and enjoy a dance performance to the sounds of a traditional Rindik (a bamboo musical instrument). Couples will partake in a ceremony filled with Balinese traditions, as well as take part in the Memadik, a custom where the groom's family formally meets the bride's family. Brides and grooms are outfitted in customary attire and makeup, along with a bouquet and boutonniere, and Balinese flower girls and umbrella boys will escort the bride down the aisle. The newlyweds will stay for two nights in a sea-view pool villa, offering beautiful views of the ocean, a 10-meter infinity pool, private jetpool, and a Balinese bale (pavilion) with a personal daybed for lounging.
